B Corps are companies that have met the certification standards of B Lab to demonstrate high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. All B Corps have undergone a rigorous verification process to achieve the certification, including a Business Impact Assessment that measures company operations from their supply chain and carbon footprint to inclusion policies and employee engagement.
All B Corps must re-certify every three years and publicly list their impact score. Once verified, they join an international network of over 6,800 B Corps, of which 1,300 are based in the UK. These businesses pledge to work together as a ‘force for good’ to implement the social and environmental changes needed to create a fairer, greener economy.
B Lab UK’s purpose is to redefine success in business through building a community of engaged businesses, raising awareness of the B Corp Movement and influencing change in the UK economy. Find out more. The UK B Corporation Movement.
